Vinyl Banner
Background:
Turning a user's ideas into visually appealing design layout has been my wonderful world for years. When it comes to art and design my inspiration sparks in order to achieve a stunning range of design and branding which make memorable impressions in viewers' mind. From postcards to banners, I carefully employ very simple visual treats including type shapes and sizes that will make the maximum impact and make my work stand out.
Design Statement:
6ft x 4ft Banner for religious event.
Design Challenge:
Vertical vinyl banner of Corpus Christi to celebrate the presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. I first photographed the chalice and the Holy Bread in May 2016 to edit them in Photoshop. Furthermore, I removed a few reflections that appeared on the chalice and covered it with a slight yellow layer to reinforce the brass color. I positioned the Holy Bread in such a way that it is seen rising slightly above the chalice and created a glowing edge around it. A combination of 4 images, 2 vector images modified in Illustrator, plus the sans serif fonts were used to illustrate the scriptures depicting Corpus Christi, thus sending a solemn message to parishioners.
No need to be a Christian to understand my design strategies! Are you willing to connect?
